traditional bento boxes comes in many forms and shapes but any reusable plastic container or regular lunch boxes may also be used.

punchers

These are regular paper punchers that I use exclusively  for  making decorative designs for nori. There are also punchers available  that makes smiley faces. The other one is a regular single-hole punch.

metal and plastic cookie cutters

metal cookie cutters are best  used  in cutting vegetables like carrots and baked goodies like brownies

plastic fondant cutters are best  used  for cutting cheese and  omelette but not recommended  for hard vegetables  like carrots

picks and skewers

picks  help secure food in place, they can be used to make tiny holes, for placing tiny pieces of nori onto rice balls, also for cutting cheese and making flags

skewers are used to make fruit and vegetable kebabs, or for skewering meat

rubber stamps

these are regular rubber stamps that I use exclusively for bento.  I use edible pens or food color/food dye to transfer pattern onto food

food dividers

these are regular paper cups and grass dividers which I use to contain moist side dishes so that the flavors would not mix. they help keep food separated

natural food dyes like curry powder and beets  may also be used in place of these

straws of different sizes

These may be used to cut food like cheese to make eyes and cheeks. They can also be bent into other shapes like ovals or triangles, or cut to make scalloped edges

These are all exclusively used for bento to cut and shape food

sauce bottles and recycled take-out sauce cups

These hold a single serving of sauces or dressings. The red-capped sauce bottles hold yakitori sauce, while the green-capped piggies hold japanese soy sauce.

these plastic containers are used to shape rice into pretty shapes
